Functional

On the way back to work tonight I spotted Rick Hilis cruising through the parking lot of Family Video. I had a rough time catching him to make a photo. This dude knows how to pedal.
"I paid $40 for the handle bars and another $100 for the chrome frame," Rick Hilis said."I work on it a little here and a little there when I get the money." Hilis was out taking his home made bike for a spin around his Court Street neighborhood.

Spring time

My german chocolate frozen yogert in a sprinkle cone from Jimmy's Frozen Custard on 24th Street. This particularl frozen treat is my all time favorite. (Thanks Les) I got off work early today and John and I had ice cream. Today was the first day since sometime last fall that I didn't have to wear a coat. I love spring.

Moments made this week

It's Sunday and a little slow at work so here are some of my favorite images from the past week. Today I found Ben and Anna in Pine Grove park on the swings. Nancy informed the Pine River Nature Center of the habits of the Great Horned Owl. Remember the roller rink? I had my eighth birthday party at the old Skateport. There is a new place in town to strap on the four wheeled classics. Last night I photographed the Port Huron Pirates home opener. Robert Height took a moment before kick off to humble himself and reflect.

Honey

Honey from a beekeeper's hive in Algonac Mich. I even got to wear a bee suit.

The start of something good.

Just an image made from the pakinglot at the YMCA on my way to an assignment last week.

I have started this blog as a way for me to learn about myself and my photo making. Also I see it as a way around the daily grind. Enjoy, but more important let me know what you think.
