Lucky Day

My morning started with a phone call at home about a murder suicide in Marine City. We talked to the neighbors and I met this fella. His first name no joke is Smurf, Like the little blue guys. He had a lady from Germany staying with him. I'm not sure if it was legit or not. Keith King hes sporting your style. Then, after racing to St. Clair for a ball game i took two steps back on the field and and snapped the second photo. I was just in the right place at the right time. Only two more work days till I tie the knot.

Bats on the Midway

I spent my afternoon at the ball park and then made a trip down to marine city to snap a few frames at Maritime Days. The last photo I just snapped along the midway. I like it. It got me thinking that with all the carnivals coming to town this summer it might be a nice place to photo some senior pictures.

Balloons

Marysville is getting a new high school. Today was the groundbreaking. I'm a sucker for balloons in good light.

Seize the day

Seize the day was written down by the St. Clair I noticed during a drive by this afternoon. I met with a group of ladies named Lois for lunch. the waitress also happened to be named Lois so they gave her a pin. I snapped as a group of teens marching French revolution style at the Museum this afternoon in preparation for next week's feast of the Ste. Claire. Oh it brings back the memories.

Sunday's bouts

They all have heart... I don't know if I have the determination of the kids I photographed over the weekend. Two years and a lot of volunteer hours gained the Big Dog Boxing Club a Michigan Junior Olympic championship. I just hope the gym has what it takes to keep the doors open.

Tough girl

I shot boxing tonight like promised. Nicole " Nickie" as all the boys call her cleaned up in the ring tonight finishing with a knockout. She's one of the original Big Dog boxers. I think she's earned her place at the gym.

Track

The weather was nice this afternoon so shooting track seemed like a nice break. A few local athletes earned themselves a trip to the state finals. This relay team kicked some booty!

Big Dogs

I went to the the boxing club this afternoon. The Junior Olympics are this weekend. Some local boxers qualify for a bout. I'll be there to make some moments. Go get'em Big Dogs.
