Valerie won the National Junior Olympic championship at 132 pounds. This girl whooped on a few other fighters.

Happy summer

Last night was the summer solstice and some locals were celebrating.

Pat

This guy was out making some music on the steps of the old Bean and Brew today while I was out looking for some locals taking the bus. I stopped to chat just a little and found out he used to be a trucker. The boots he's wearing he bought at a garage sale for $3. Theres nothing like yellow snake skin.

Salad bar

John built me a room off the big garage where I can plant plants and grow seeds and put my green thumb to the test. I had started some seeds that I had yet to put in bigger pots. Yesterday when I went to water everything I found almost everything eaten! Then this little guy showed up. I made sure he found his way back outside.

Money saver

Yesterday I ventured up to the Croswell Fair to snap a few frames for an online gallery. I was impressed with this kid. All the other kids were buying ice cream cones full of grain to feed the animals at the petting farm. This guy would go around and pick up the grain that the others would drop, there was a ton of it on the ground, and feed it to the animals.

Wildlife

Every now and then we get some small creature near the back door of the paper. This guy let me snap is picture. I always feel bad when I see them because I figure sooner or later they will be squished.

The left coast

After John and I tied the knot last week we headed for the left coast. We stayed a few days in San Francisco and made a couple trips up and down HWY 1 here are a few of the frames I snapped along the trip.
