Capac

I spent my evening at Capac High School making photos of the varsity boys basketball game but tonight there were some extras. It was Snowcoming and from what I gather it is like a homecoming but only in the winter. It seems kind of cold to be wearing the little dresses. I left after half time. This guy was in the hall outside the gym, he didn't seem overly impressed with any of the nights festivities.

hoops

It's that season and now that I'm working nights... well three days a week, I sure do see a lot of it. I'm trying to mix it up a little, trying something different when I can. Here's one from the Port Huron Northern match up last night.

Overtime

Just when I thought I was on my way out of here, the tone went off and so did I, on my way to a fire. This time a grange in town went up with a car inside. I like the image with the flames mostly because of the icicle. The best part of fire in town is all the people that come out to watch.

Drag

I spent the afternoon covering the Ice Drag in Downtown PH but as the day wore on so did I. I was so cold after four hours along the St. Clair River I could no longer feel my hands, and I had my gloves on. Here are couple from the starting line. These guys and gals could ride their sleds. Some of them even reached speeds of 125 MPH.

The Silver Stick...

No really there is one at the end of each weekend awarded to the winning team. The boys come from all over the US and Canada but when your standing next to the locker room they pretty much smell the same.

Her dress

Leslie picked up her wedding dress tonight. It will be in my closet until September.

P.S. I bought her those socks for Christmas.

Not in a million years

That's what he told me as we cleaned out the chicken coop this afternoon. I love my city boy.

Without glass

I drove to Fraser for another round of high school hockey. One whole side of the rink was glassless. The photo making was nice but the sticks flying still scare me.

Paint

John and I spent the better part of the day at Les and Kevin's new place fixing up the bedroom for paint. Les learned about caulking then Kevin picked up a paint brush.
