Allie's a Senior

It's almost hard to believe that Allie will graduate in the spring. I first met her at a photography show when she was in the 5th grade. Over the last couple of years I've photographed her in pool during swim meets more than a few times. When It was time for some more photos I was honored to think she picked me to make her images. We spent a couple of hours shooting around town and had a blast. She sure has grown up over the years. Allie you are one gorgeous lady. I hope your senior year rocks.

Angelo

Friday I got a phone call from my cousin Vicky, as it turns out her son Angelo graduates this spring and has yet to have any senior photos taken. She said she needed something by next week. Tonight I spent about forty minutes photographing Angelo and his pride and joy. I'll have a disk in his hands by tomorrow afternoon. I had fun tromping though the state game area with great light. I just wish the nats were a little less feisty.

Jinny Sheldon

I hit the road running this morning. My first stop of many was to Jinny Sheldon's house. The story goes, Jinny had some mold in her lawn and some ladies from the community visited her house last week to do some clean up and were supposed to come back to plant grass seed this morning but couldn't make it. Jinny made a few phone calls from her kitchen table while I waited. I had some time to spare so I stayed almost an hour hoping the work ladies would show. They didn't, but my hour this morning with Jinny in her kitchen was the best one so far today. She's a retired kindergarten teacher who once had a turkey spend three days in her class room. We talked about life and teaching and growing and getting older mostly the human spirit. Yesterday was May Day and just like every year for the past 60 She found a May Basket waiting for her. Someone must really think she is special. I know I do. Thanks Jinny your visit. I really enjoyed myself.

Michelle and Tyler

Saturday I spent photographing Michelle and Tyler between the rain drops and gail force winds. I attended a workshop held by jackie Blair. I picked up a few things while I was there and had a great time with a few other photographers. Here are a few of my favorites.

St. Patty

Today was the Pub Crawl downtown and the Irish were out in force. I spent a little over an hour this afternoon making portraits of the most unusual folk along a wall in the shade. Here are few that stick out in a crowed of hundreds.

Little Sis+Kevin

It will be year ago January when Kevin popped the question to my little sis. They will be married in September. We spent the golden hour and then some making pictures tonight. After Kevin got warmed up I think they both had a blast.

I spent a little time with Brandon tonight along the St. Clair River shooting his senior pictures. He was a lot of fun to work with.

Pat

This guy was out making some music on the steps of the old Bean and Brew today while I was out looking for some locals taking the bus. I stopped to chat just a little and found out he used to be a trucker. The boots he's wearing he bought at a garage sale for $3. Theres nothing like yellow snake skin.

Little Sarah Orr

My family used to go camping with the Orrs when we were smaller in northern Michigan. Little Sarah, the youngest of four has grown up. I made her some senior photos this aftenoon in the woods behind her house. The kitty wanted a part of it too. I'm hoping she likes them, I'd like to start taking more of them and making a little extra money too.
