Cruising

I came into work early today so I had a little time to drive the streets. It was worth my time for this little slice of life. TOP:The tires creaked on the sidewalk and Brighty the dog watched as Jeremiah Sharrow, 3 inched his way down the sidewalk in front of his Howard Street home in a vintage Jet Flow Drive peddle car. Sharrow worked part of the morning on the pressed metal car with his Papa Louie Oliver to get the pedals working for a test drive. BOTTOM: Tat tat tat sang from the ratchet as Jeremiah Sharrow, 3 used his mighty muscles to fix the loose peddles on his Papa, Louie Oliver's vintage Jet Flow Drive pressed metal fire truck with the help of his older brother Matthew Sharrow, 5. Oliver dug the truck out of his garage Monday morning to fix it up for his grandkids. Oliver found the car three years ago at a garage sale for $35. "I had one when I was a kid," Oliver said with a smile as Jeremiah peddled his way down the side walk in front of his Howard Street home. "I had to have it."

Last week

It's been a while since my last post, I'm trying to make up for it.

Chicken Things

I was driven' through the country Saturday and these little creatures jumped out in front of me. The word on the street is that they are guinea hens.

Nice light

I love when the light is just right for making photos. The sun was just starting to set when Noah and a handful of other young boxers started training Friday night.

Nippy

I went to Nan Grebenok's home for a volunteer story. Nan sews quilts and gives them away to the community. Nippy is her cat. He was a bit grim today.

More yellow

Yesterday was rough. Back to making more yellow photos. I drove past the flowers and came back for the photo. The chairs have been sitting out since Sunday when I first saw them. It took me a while to get back for a photo.

And it was all YELLOW

It was so yellow, so yellow in fact that it inspired me to see how many more yellow thing photos I can make this week. We'll see how it goes.

Carefree

Today was a little warmer than it has been around here. I found these kids playing at Light House Beach enjoying the sunshine. They kept picking up the sand and letting it go in the wind. I liked the moment.

Falling down

I was driving along Fred Moore Hwy in St. Clair on my way to an assignment when I passed this little run down house on the side of the road. I checked inside but I couldn't figure out what it was used for. The main house which sat next it looks like it had fallen down years ago.

The Rabbit

Happy Easter. This kid was thrilled to have spotted the rabbit but may have had his holidays confused. A few kids gathered Saturday to follow the rabbit around to different stores downtown to collect candy.
