Lover and I

A photograph hangs next to the microwave in our kitchen. It was taken the day after John and I married an hour or so before we set off to the airport to enjoy our honeymoon. It is my favorite photograph of him and I. More so than all the photographs taken the day of our wedding. I remember the sun on my face that afternoon but mostly how happy we were. We had and still have the rest of out happily ever after ahead of us. We leave it there not to remind us everday how good things were then but more how great our marrage is everyday. Happy second anniversey Lover! You do and always will rock my world!

After 8 weeks

I feel like coming back to the blogging world. If I were to say that the last two months haven't been taxing and that it was all a walk in the park I don't think I could look you in the eye. What I have learned is that the little things are really what make life worth living. An extra hour of sleep, a few minutes alone in the garden, a thunderstorm in the middle of the night, and of course all those little wet kisses from the little man on my shoulder. But my favorite thing of all time right now is make pictures of my husband and our baby. Those little moments between them that they will both cherrish for years to come.
