Jolly old Saint Nick

Ok, I know it has been a while... But here's to kicking it up a notch, trying a little harder, just making a photo once in a while.
Santa came to town tonight. The kids could hardly wait. Christmas is on it's way.

Marysville

Marysville has a long long long history of excelling at prep volleyball. Last night their season got cut short. Of course there was plenty of good play and perhaps more cheering than necessary after each point, but in the end there will always be tears.

Wednesday I went up in a small prop plane to take some arial shots of my cousins new beach house. On the way back home I made this frame of farmers taking off the harvest. I like that curvy road through all of the strait ones.

New Jersey

John and I took a trip the the Jersey Shore to visit family and take in the ocean. It was cold but well worth it.

We went to the boardwalk and I ate a sprinkle donut by the sea.
Then we watched this old guy surf fish. He caught a striped bass but it was a few inches to short.
The grasses along the sand were beautiful.

We have visited both oceans this year, the best part is we were there together.

Wreaths

Today I photographed these homemade wreaths. They were all made from things their creator found around her house or at tag sales. I just liked the photo. The artist set them up before I got there on a fake fireplace but what I like the most is the wood paneling. It reminds me of trips to northern Michigan to my grandmother's cottage.

Little Sis+Kevin

It will be year ago January when Kevin popped the question to my little sis. They will be married in September. We spent the golden hour and then some making pictures tonight. After Kevin got warmed up I think they both had a blast.

Revenge

Although it doesn't hurt the goat sure put up a struggle during the goat tying completion I photographed today. This girl took a spill on the way off her horse but I sense a small bit of sweet satisfaction from the furry creature.

Her dad

I shot another wedding with Jackie yesterday. Here's my favorite. The smile on his face reminds me of the way my dad looked when I got married.

The dark

A last minute change sent me to Dryden tonight to photograph a Class D gridiron game. I can count on one hand how many times a pass was thrown in the first half but the sun did set nice over the school. Then it got dark, real dark.
